We just moved into a new condo in May with our dog, Sorrento. The complex is very dog friendly and has plenty of little dog parks around the area. Because we have to walk the dog regularly throughout the day, we get noticed particularly by other dog owners. It has been a very easy way to meet our new neighbors with a simple hello and discussion about our dogs. It is often neighbors remembering our pet’s name and not necessarily ours. We hear stories of rescues. We hear stories of people who got a dog during the pandemic so they could get out more and finally had time at home. What is nice is that we don’t really know who anyone voted for in the last election or thinks about the current state of affairs. Instead, we bond over our love of dogs. Dogs have the potential to bring out the best in us.— Maria, Mission Viejo.
