As I was leaving the grocery store, I saw a man in the parking lot asking for money. I overheard him tell someone that he was trying to gather enough to buy a train ticket so he could go be with his family. While I loaded my groceries into my car, I saw another man approach him. He gave him some cash and the response indicated that it was enough for his ticket. But what really struck me, was that the man didn’t just hand him some money, he then stood there and talked to him for a few minutes. He spent some time with the man and it felt like a very human moment.— Alison, Fullerton.
